Level 4 Practice - 2 letter blocks: F J

Level description:

Typing 2 letter blocks. Typing letter blocks, also known as practicing touch-typing by focusing on specific letter combinations or key clusters.

When you're comfortable with typing letter blocks, you're less likely to make mistakes or typos when typing words that contain these combinations. This reduces the need for constant backspacing and correcting errors.

5 Touch typing tips to consider:

  1. Keyboard and Mouse Pad Placement : Keep the keyboard and mouse pad at elbow level, allowing your wrists to remain straight and hands to hover comfortably.
  2. Middle Finger (D) : Your middle finger should quickly move between the "D" key and its neighboring keys.
  3. Head Position : Keep your head aligned with your spine, avoiding tilting forward or backward.
  4. Home Row Position : Rest your fingers on the home row keys (ASDF for the left hand, JKL; for the right hand) to serve as your reference point.
  5. Split Keyboard : If possible, use a split keyboard to reduce hand strain.

Summary:

Remember that consistent practice and attention to hand position are essential for becoming a proficient touch typist and preventing discomfort or injury.
